Slama acknowledges that our slam takes place in Naarm, on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded, no treaty was signed and it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
Slama invites you to our biggest night of the year, our 2019 Grand Slam where the top poets from a season of slams compete for the title of Grand Slam Champion, and once again for a place on Team Slama, this year competing against slams from around Australia coming here in July.
Warning, get your tickets quickly because this has sold out the past two years.
Featuring our amazing 2018 Grand Slam Champion, Tenda McFly.
The 2019 Grand Slam Finalists are:
Morgaine van Wingerden
+ at least the top 3 from the Slamalamadingdong! Last Chance Slam
